Never-Ending Tourist Flows in Marbella

Marbella’s progress is undoubtedly amazing, but some believe it is out of limits. However, it provides the most wide-ranging facilities and attractions from Costa del Sol.

Marbella appears dominated by Sierra Blanca and its pre-Roman and Roman origins on the tourist map of Costa del Sol. Situated right in the middle of the Coast of the Sun, this resort is an ideal place for golf enthusiasts and sea passionate individuals, but even its most ardent supporters acknowledge that its progress has reached alarming proportions, one reason is due to the amount of Marbella accommodation that has been built over the years.

Occupied since ancient times, Marbella was ruled by the Carthaginians and later by the Romans. During the construction works from the 20th century, when Marbella was made what it is today, countless proof of successive Roman occupation and life have emerged.

Marbella is strongly focused on the touristic life. The incessant swinging between the downtown streets and the beaches is characteristic to it. The nightlife with its clubs, tapas and drinks, and its overall cosmopolitanism attract never-ending tourist flows from across Europe.

Marbella’s warm summer weather and mild winter weather, plus the refreshing waters of the Mediterranean and the endless options for recreation, entertainment and sports make it an ideal place for everyone’s vacation.

Regardless of season, Marbella offers an unusual type of attraction. It is about the famous people who often visit it and who are not a constant presence in the other resorts from Costa del Sol. When it comes to celebrities, the most privileged place is Puerto Banus. Their shiny allure is irresistible for some vacationers.

Puerto Banus, Marbella’s Pride and Joy

Puerto Banus has received the Gold Medal of Merit and the National Tourism Award Gold Mercury International in Rome, for its contribution to the social, cultural and the economic life of Marbella.

Puerto Banus is one of the most famous tourist spots in the world and one of the most important nautical enclaves from Southern Europe, it has a wide variety of villas to rent in Marbella so you can enjoy a great holiday. It is located within the municipality of Marbella, which is also a renowned tourist place for summer passionate people.

It was inaugurated in May 1970, thanks to the idea of its creator, Jose Banus. This visionary Spaniard has chosen the place for this magnificent nautical enclave very carefully. Over time, its location has proven to be a success among the tourists. In our days, the impressive boats and the elegance are characteristic for this port.

Puerto Banus has increased and improved its reputation year after year and it has become one of the ultimate places for nautical tourism. The intense commercial activity, especially in expensive shops has become a common activity for the tourists who populate it.

As for the technical details about this port, one must know that it encompasses 915 berths. It can accommodate from small to huge cruise ships. The numbers of berths that are wide and long enough for a cruise ship are limited. The parking bays have different services, such as water, electricity, telephone, television and other optional services, like the centralized alarm service. There is 24 hour security and surveillance as well.

Attractions At The Selwo Aventura In Marbella

Just like many towns of the Costa del Sol, Marbella is very sunny but has outstanding attractions from a glorious coastline to a wonderful animal park called Selwo. It takes fifteen minutes from Marbella to get to the park found on the entrance of Estepona. The park is in one million square meters ground.
The Selwo Safari park is a wildlife habitat that features more than 2,000 species of animals. Visitors can explore the park via jeep trucks and also walk in some places. Some animals of interest to see in this park feature elephants, zebras, gnus among many more others. The animals roam freely in this natural habitat just like in African parks. This is an ideal place to tour if you detest seeing animals locked up in cages. Other attractions in the park include an aviary that features several bird species in lush surroundings. You will admire three wobble bridges which you can try out walking on.
Other fun things to enjoy in the park include camel rides. Selwo Safari Park also features a little petting farm where kids will love touching some farm animals found here. There is a restaurant and a café in the park to enjoy some meals when you get hungry and I have to say the park is close to many apartments to rent in Marbella. Temperatures can really get hot at times but there are several water sprayers throughout the park to cool off. It is advisable to carry your sunscreen on this adventurous tour at Selwo Aventura. Note that the park closes from December to February and opens in March. You can tour the park on weekdays and weekends on the open months of the year.
